About the role

Are you enrolled in a registrar training program and looking to enhance or develop research skills and experience? Learning from our experienced medical and scientific researchers, Lifeblood is offering a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in a research environment. This opportunity could integrate with enrolment in a higher degree such as a PhD, as our team has many exciting research threads in flight.

Fulltime or part time Fixed Term opportunity, in 2024-2026. You will join our Research & Development (R&D) and Pathology teams and your core focus will be participation in the planning and conduct of relevant clinical research projects. Through this initiative Lifeblood will support you to make a greater contribution to healthcare by growing medical research capability and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

Use your medical knowledge and experience to contribute to research projects and provide input as new projects arise

Continue existing research projects that are in flight

Support development, and delivery of research projects, including hands on laboratory work if desired

Respond quickly and accurately to requests for advice and assist others with research projects

Prepare ethics submissions, proposals, reports and publications

Work with others in areas of data management and analysis

Collaborate with stakeholders

Help inform decision making

The role does not involve rostered on call or direct patient care responsibility

Must be a self-starter

Current Medical registration (APHRA) and enrolment in a relevant Registrar training program is essential

Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
