School Based Traineeship

Panthers Penrith are looking for a motivated and energetic trainee to join our busy and friendly kitchen team.
We have an exciting opportunity for a trainee to develop their skills with a leading brand in the hospitality industry. As a valuable member of our team, you will enjoy working with qualified and experienced mentors to assist you in the development of your skills.
**Your Main Duties and Responsibilities for this traineeship will include**:
- Assist our chefs with food preparation and service;
- Provide support with larder and fryer duties and progress to grill responsibilities;
- Assist in the cleaning procedures to ensure a safe and hygienic kitchen and;
- Assist the chefs in catering for various functions and banquets across the club
**To be successful in this role, you will possess the following attributes**:
- Enthusiasm to learn, strong commitment and a passion to develop your skills;
- Punctual and reliable;
- Fantastic communication skills;
- Must have a genuine interest in food and the hospitality industry;
- Highly motivated individual that takes pride in their work;
- Enjoy working with a productive and fast paced team environment and;
- Ability to handle pressure and work efficiently and pro-actively.
**Commitment required by the trainee**:
- Undertake a minimum of 100 days in paid employment and training.
- Undertake Certificate II Hospitality as part of their HSC.
- The employment and training can be undertaken during school time, after school and during school holidays.
- You will be signed up through TAFE to complete your studies and gain your qualifications
You will demonstrate a strong work ethic and the ability to work in a team.
