We foster the future of general practice through our profession-led, community-based training model for the Australian General Practice Training Program and other training pathways. We train GPs to deliver quality, whole-person care to patients across Australia, support their ongoing professional development and provide a point of connection for GPs serving communities in every corner of the country
About you
As our, State Building Manager, your role reports to the National Property Manager and will work closely with our leasing lead, independent project managers, National and local faculty managers and the broader Property Services and Procurement team to manage property and facility assets within designated regions, including the
coordination of fit out, maintenance, Occupational Health and Safety, and building tech set up activities. including monitoring of trades and services to ensure compliance standards are met. You possess:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Property Management, or other relevant field.
Strong project management skills with experience running commercial fit out projects.
Experience t in depth understanding of dealing with legislative requirements,building codes and local government and council requirements during construction and major maintenance projects.
Project Management qualifications and skills and or extensive project management industry experience
Building or trade qualifications and or skills and detailed knowledges of building systems and processes developed in the industry.Demonstrated experience managing relationships with co-tenants and building / property managers
Demonstrated effective communication, negotiation and influencing skills at all levels of an organisation.
Microsoft Project experience and the ability to prioritise workload and to meet deadlines
Experience in $5-10M refurbishments and other property improvement projects.
Demonstrated change management and risk management experience
What you’re here to do
Implement Property strategy across your respective portfolio ensuing alignment and communication with other State Building Managers and Faculty Managers.
Coordination of key portfolio property projects
Management of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance using RACGP agreed system.
Implement and manage agreed ways of working for maintenance call out coverage across each territory to meet unscheduled maintenance and emergency requirements
Planning and coordination of trades with risk management, scheduling and reporting on financials as required.
Build strong and effective relationships with stakeholders with open and constructive communication throughout.
Ensure organisational policies, procedures and practices are implemented, complied with and are relevant - particularly in relation to OH&S/WHS requirements and legislation.
Support delivery and reporting of property services operational budgets and project capital budgets as required.
Supervision and mentoring of Building Coordinators
