Your Role
We are looking for a competent Credit Collection Specialist. In this role, you will be in charge of collecting outstanding payments and improving profitability while maintaining debtor goodwill & trading relationships. In addition, you will provide general accounting support in regards to invoicing, accounts payable and working closely with the accounts receivable function.
You will be responsible for maintaining accurate and thorough records of customer payment history and account status. You will act as the first point of contact for customers, placing routine calls to obtain payment for goods or services. Taking ownership of your customer portfolio, you will recognise calls requiring special handling or customised responses and escalate them accordingly.
You will manage your own complex ledger, chase payments and maintain up-to-date CRM information and strong customer relations.
Your Impact
- Proactively manage customer accounts to ensure timely collection of past due balances and achieve overdue payment KPIs
- Quickly identify and mediate barriers to payment
- Develop and maintain a successful partnership with customers, the sales team and other back office teams
- Manage stopped accounts up to litigation
- Maintain accurate credit files and collection files
- Reconcile and resolve of complex accounts
- Build communication and close relationships with the sales force and lease/credit partners
- Maintain constantly up-to-date CRM information

What you should bring:

- experience in a similar role as well as relevant education with bachelor degree
- Organizational & analytical skills with strong attention to detail
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships
- Knowledge of CRM management. Previous experience with Salesforce is a plus
- Knowledge and management of financial solutions
- Experience with credit management and credit collection techniques
- Financial and economic skills and expertise
- Long-term customer relationship management skills
- Knowledge of ERP systems and database functionalities - SAP would be a plus
