We are seeking a suitable qualified and experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to join the Finance Shared Services team.
- From $127,609 to $134,775 (HEW Level 9), plus 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading.
- Full time, continuing role. Based at Wallumattagal campus, North Ryde.
- High performing team. Hybrid working arrangement.

THE ROLE

We are seeking a suitable qualified and experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to join the Finance Shared Services team.

Reporting to Director, Finance Shared Services, you will be responsible for:

- University wide receivables and partner with other University teams, specifically across both Finance and Student business areas to create full visibility of total receivables.
- Work closely with key stakeholders in the Student areas of the University to manage key student and sponsor student revenue drivers, which relate to receivables, debt management and credit control.
- Report on key KPI’s that relate to revenue and debt collection.

About You

As an important part of the Service Connect Team that delivers a range of core services and provides strong Finance support across Macquarie University, your experience gained in a similar role will be essential in providing advice in Receivables Management.

Specifically, you have in depth experience in providing detailed advice and support to key stakeholders in the management of student fees, credit and debt management. You will enjoy working in a fast paced and dynamic environment and efficiently meet deadlines in a timely and accurate manner. You will build and maintain strong relationships across the University and work in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to achieve shared goals.

The Finance Shared Services team, within Service Connect, drives strong financial governance and provides strategic advice to key stakeholders in respect of the University’s purchasing, accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.

To Apply
- Degree qualification; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. CPA or equivalent strongly preferred
- Working with large ERP Financial systems, and an understanding of the Technology One suite of products would be desirable, both FINANCIAL and STUDENT.
- Understanding and experience in the complexities of the Student Life Cycle would be highly desirable
- Managing an accounts receivable team in a high volume, complex environment
- Sound understanding of transactional banking and E banking platforms. (Nelnet)
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Proven experience in multi-tasking and prioritisation in a high volume setting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated customer service focus
- Understanding of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience in using complex finance systems in a large organisation
- This position requires a criminal record check.
