**About the role**

The Cyber Security Advisor plays a pivotal role within the ICT & Business Services team by ensuring the ongoing development of the PSC’s cyber security awareness.
- Ensure policies, standards and procedures across the organisation are compliant
- Drive reporting and risk assessments to ensure the safeguarding of the PSC ICT digital assets, information, and data.
- Develop training materials and campaigns to build upon the PSC’s cyber security culture and awareness
- Research, analyse and review complex issues to identify emerging issues, develop evidence-based options, and recommended solutions to resolve problems and mitigate risks in relation to cyber security and ICT uplift.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, facilitating their engagement in, and contribution to, the identification and development of solutions, and to inform decision making.
- Manage security related incidents within the ICT Jira Service Desk, ensuring appropriate resolution and support to mitigate future risks.

**About you**

The successful applicant will have vast experience working in a complex technology environment with an understanding of current cyber threats, trends and technology. You will have experience in responding to cyber security incidents and investigating security alerts and are able to create meaningful cyber awareness campaigns.

You will also have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to foster effective working relationships and provide advice and guidance to stakeholders at all levels.

**Essential Requirements**
- NSW Police Background Check
- Relevant tertiary qualifications, e.g. Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Cyber Security and/or demonstrated, relevant, equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in Microsoft Azure Cloud Environment and working within an ITIL framework.
