-As Principal Project Officer in Infrastructure you will be working directly with the Manager, Infrastructure to plan, prioritise and deliver infrastructure capital and maintenance programs and projects, to maximise government’s return on investment in state owned TAFE campuses at locations across Queensland. This role will assist in a variety of infrastructure planning activities, including the development of asset management plans & asset registers, program budgets, campus master plans and project plans, aimed at ensuring state owned TAFE campuses are contemporary and fit for purpose.
**Your Role**:

- Support capital and maintenance program delivery by developing and coordinating a range of financial and business processes including transaction processing, project and funding reconciliations, project closure and asset capture reporting.
- Play a lead role in developing, implementing, maintaining, and reviewing asset lifecycle condition assessments, including supporting the Manager, Infrastructure and key internal stakeholders to maintain workplace, health and safety and disaster management planning processes.
- Support the development and delivery of specific programs of work associated with the upgrade, renewal and compliance of the state-wide training infrastructure.
- Manage and report on current and emerging program risks including risks associated with the level of legislative compliance of the state-wide training infrastructure.
- Prepare high quality written documentation including senior executive briefings, government submissions and proposals that satisfy program governance reporting requirements.
- Play a leading role in researching, developing, implementing, maintaining and reviewing physical infrastructure asset management activities associated with the future direction of training infrastructure in Queensland and provide advice on recommended courses of action.
- Contribute to providing sustainable social infrastructure solutions through the development, coordination and review of funding submissions and master planning activities.
- Support a wide range of investigation, analysis and evaluation of infrastructure management strategies that promotes maximum outcomes from Queensland’s investment in state-owned training infrastructure.

- Ability to work effectively independently, and contribute positively to a team environment, demonstrating highly developed communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and manage complex projects (preferably in a building/facilities infrastructure context) that have achieved positive results and outcomes.

While there are no mandatory qualifications for this role, practical experience in a similar role is required. Formal qualifications in a related field would be advantageous.
You will be required to work autonomously and within a team. Travel to other locations within the state will be required from time to time, including overnight stays.
