About the role
The Taxation Manager is a 12-month contract position, based at North Ryde. Reporting to Group Financial Controller you will manage taxation compliance and tax risk for CSR Group, ensuring our operations align with regulatory requirements while maximizing value for the business.
**In this role you will be responsible for**:
- Tax Compliance: Oversee and manage all aspects of taxation compliance for CSR Group, ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
- Tax Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage tax risks, providing regular reports to the Board on tax matters.
- Revenue Authority Relations: Maintain and enhance CSR's relationship with revenue authorities, including managing audits and compliance activities effectively.
- Tax Planning: Provide strategic tax planning advice on major transactions to add value and mitigate business risks.
- Financial Optimization: Pursue tax planning opportunities that improve EBIT, NPAT, and cash flow, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in underlying business processes to streamline operations and enhance compliance.
- Policy Development: Develop and implement tax risk management policies and procedures, ensuring robust governance and risk mitigation.
What you bring to the role
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
- Membership of either CA or CPA.
- Proven experience in tax management and compliance, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with a knack for building relationships.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to provide insightful tax planning and risk management advice.
