**Who we are**

We are a crypto fintech startup based in Sydney that has made headlines around the world for becoming the first Australian company to partner with Visa to launch a crypto payments card, the CryptoSpend Card.

Our mission is to make life easier for everyday people wanting to spend their crypto and provide them with a simple, frictionless experience. To accomplish this mission, we've released an app that allows buying crypto, cashing out crypto, paying bills in crypto, and sending crypto to friends for free. Our flagship product, the CryptoSpend Visa Card, is available as a physical and digital card (Apple Pay and Google Pay) which allows users to spend their crypto in real-time anywhere Visa is accepted, in Australia and overseas, instore and online.

We have been fortunate enough to quadruple our customer base in the last 12 months, so we're looking for a highly motivated, versatile, and experienced individual to join our team as we continue to grow and scale the platform.

**About the role**

You will be responsible for the company's logging and overall compliance reporting. You will be working and reporting straight to our CEO and COO while also working with a number of third parties in the fintech and crypto space. You will be working to contribute to our Financial Crime risk management by investigating Transaction Monitoring and Customer Screening alerts, and making informed decisions on if matters need to be reported to the relevant authorities.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Identifying risky behaviour, ability to conduct transaction analysis and evaluate customer screening alerts.
- Acting appropriately and within regulation when risky behaviour is detected.
- Conducting further investigations on customer profiles when appropriate and escalating any relevant issues or observed trends.
- Working with third parties for compliance purposes
- Understanding of the regulatory body in the Commonwealth of Australia - exposure to environments regulated by AUSTRAC, ASIC, ATO, RBA, etc.
- Performing other duties as assigned in the field of compliance.

**What we’re looking for**:

- Background working in an established financial institution.
- Minimum 6 months in the field of compliance is required, preferably 1-2 years.
- Knowledge in finance or banking industry is required.
- Knowledge and understanding of how a AML/CTF document is structured.
- KYC, ECDD, general DD and other compliance investigation experience is considered highly desirable.
- Ability to work and organise yourself in an autonomous way
- Fraud & Scam detection experience and ability to call potential scam victims required
