**About the organisation**
Our office dates back to 2012 and the establishment of the Workcover Independent Review Office. We became an independent agency, known as the Independent Review Office, or IRO, following the passage of the Personal Injury Commission Act 2020. The Independent Review Office supports and carries out the functions of the Independent Review Officer, who is appointed by the government on the recommendation of the Minister. The current Independent Review Officer is Simon Cohen.
**The statutory functions of the IRO include to**:
- find solutions for persons injured at work or in motor vehicle accidents with complaints about their insurers.
- manage and administer the Independent Legal Assistance and Review Service (ILARS)
- conduct inquiries into matters arising in connection with the operation of the Personal Injury Commission Act 2020 and the workers’ compensation and motor vehicle accident legislation.
**About the Role**
Perform project management support activities to contribute to the development and delivery of the Business Review process presently underway at the IRO.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- Coordinate and implement a range of project management support services and achieve agreed outcomes on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope, in line with established project management methodology
- Develop and maintain customer, stakeholders and vendor relationships through effective communication, negotiation, and issues management
- Coordinate working groups, committees, and consultations to facilitate exchange of information and support project completion in line with project plans
- Prepare and maintain project related documentation and source and collate information for reporting, monitoring and evaluation purposes to contribute to achievement of the project outcomes and identification of emerging issues
- Undertake research and analysis, identifying trends and preparing project briefs, to support informed decision-making and planning
