**What We Need**:
To be successful in this role you will be proficient in the preparation and supervision of tenders and have experience in conducting end to end procurement processes.

Essential Experience:

- End to end tendering experience
- Understanding of technical literature, standards, manuals, and codes of practice.
- Ability to work in within a changing environment and adapt to new processes and procedures.
- Ability to successfully negotiate and resolve conflict.
- Understanding of and experience with implement management policies and procedures.
- Experience in preparing effective, clear, and concise reports and correspondence on matters relating to the position.
- Experience in supervision of contracts and project management.
- Positive and outgoing personality.

**Main Role / Responsibilities**:
In this role, you will manage a procurement portfolio of tenders/quotations and provide the organisation with procurement advice that is in line with industry best practice and organisational policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

- Providing efficient and effective end to end supervision of procurement activities, ensuring that procurement activities undertaken by Council complies with probity principles, legislation and organisational policy and procedures.
- Providing strong leadership to stakeholders for all procurement processes undertaken.
- Ensuring that the production of procurement documentation complies with all legal requirements.
- Maintaining the accuracy of documentation standards, ensuring potential tenderers are provided with all required documentation and meet agreed timelines.
- Facilitating procurement processes to ensure all prospective suppliers have an equal opportunity to tender or quote for Council business.
- Providing support and advice to other business units which contribute to the effective and efficient administration of procurement processes and contracts.

- 6 months contract with great potential.
- Great working hours - (Some flexibility)
- $57 per hour plus super.
- Extensive induction and development program.
- Geelong Location
- At least 2 days Work From Home and 3 days Office based.
