**About the role**

The Project Officer will coordinate research activities for the national Genomic Autopsy Study and will contribute to grant-funded research including data compilation, analysis and interpretation, and research publications. The Project Officer will work under the direction of the Australian Genomics Project Officer and Genomic Autopsy Study Manager.

The incumbent will:

- Drive meaningful engagement with local research staff, and national clinical teams to ensure project delivery

This position is based in the Genetics and Molecular Pathology Department of SA Pathology in Adelaide with strong linkages to the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. This position would suit an experienced scientist with project management experience, excellent communication and organisational skills who is self-driven and enjoys working in a clinical translational setting with complex stakeholder engagement needs.

**Essential Requirements**:

- Current National Police Clearance (NPC)
- Working With Children Check (DHS)
- Immunisation screening as indicated in the role description. SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.

Educational/Vocational Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in science, bioinformatics, genomics or related field.
- Professional experience gained from working in a research management role
