**About the Role**:
We have an opportunity for a hands-on and consultative analyst and driven professional to join our AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) Network Operations Team.
In this exciting role you will be responsible for supporting the operation and service delivery of AMI business systems solutions. The AMI Network Operations Team monitors, maintains and operates one of the largest and best performing AMI Networks in Australasia.
Using your working knowledge of communications infrastructure to manage fault investigations you will plan, analyse and provide technical support to ensure that the Network delivers to agreed performance levels.
This key team member will also ensure the successful delivery of a range of service via this revolutionary technology and continuously improved operation efficiency and network performance, whilst working with internal and external stakeholders.
**What you’ll deliver**:
- Monitor network performance, identify non-communicating/inactive devices and initiate investigations
- Assist in field investigation and commissioning, create and close-out of the service order
- Analyse network performance from connectivity, faults and other reliability related data elements in order to enhance the network robustness
- Propose continual improvement through the creation of new tools and scripts resulting in streamlined processes.
- Perform business analytics including requirement gathering, documentation and the development of process flows / work instructions
- Assist in identifying, profiling and quantifying opportunities from the large amount of data collected by the AMI network as well as other integrated business systems.
**To succeed in this role you’ll have**:
- Tertiary qualifications in Power Systems, IT, Business Analysis or equivalent work experience
- Experience in Network Management System (e.g. UIQ) administration, operation and configuration
- Systems support experience with Smart Meter technology is preferred, as is Communications networks
- Technically proficient in Excel and database technologies including SQL & MS Access
- Well-developed communication skills to structure and prepare compelling reports and the ability to understand and communicate technical issues to non-technical people.
- Experience using data analytics platforms and associated tools would be beneficial.
