**Job Title**: Insights and Strategy Manager
**Location**: Melbourne
**Salary/Rate**: Competitive
**Working Days**: 5 days a week, Monday to Friday (rare weekend work required)
Do you have a passion for digital media and all things sports? Are you up to date with the latest trends and recognise what will work on different platforms? We’re looking for an Insights and Strategy Manager with at least five years of experience in a related role to come to Engage and make an instant impact.
This role requires an in-depth understanding of how our clients can best use content across their social media and owned channels to deliver on their growth KPIs - whether it be brand awareness, increasing participation, or selling tickets and subscriptions. You will need a combination of strong digital and social media knowledge, awareness of how to drive online engagement, attention to detail and a strong analytical mindset.
Your knowledge and passion for sports will enable you to actively develop content, media and engagement plans for our portfolio of sport associated clients. You will have a broad knowledge of the digital media market and be responsible for implementing activations, ranging from engagement, participation, subscription conversion and retail sales.
**Main duties & responsibilities**:
- To work closely across all internal departments, helping to lead Audience Development, working with the Creative team, Performance team and Project Leads
- Create and manage distribution strategies for both existing and new clients, delivering quality audiences across internal and social media channels
- Create meaningful, actionable insights across data analytical tools that benefit clients
- To blend editorial content, organic and paid distribution, and activation across a number of sports disciplines and countries
- Creating audits for current and potential clients to help formulate content strategy
- Identifying opportunities within existing clients and working with the broader team with proposal development
- Develop proposals and present audience growth strategy for campaigns - advising both current and potential clients on their opportunities
- Implement and manage campaigns, including budget management, new trends and reporting KPI performance back to clients
- Develop and grow client relationships by participating in client meetings to discuss strategy and performance
- Identify 3rd party technologies / tools that can be used to drive short and long term conversion
- Be the first to know about platform and industry developments, as well as relevant social media trends
- Attend industry events and research new trends to keep EDP ahead of the competition
- Liaising regularly with our global Insights team and leveraging our analysts from the UK and India when necessary
**Skills & Experience**:
- 5+ years of experience of working with clients, managing relationships and delivering strategies
- Have broad knowledge of the digital media market and implementing activations ranging from engagement, participation, subscription conversion and retail sales
- Excellent in-depth understanding of all relevant social media platforms - YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok
- Incredibly strong analytical mindset with experience in setting KPIs, measuring them and presenting them to clients
- Ability to scan through large data sets and quickly recognise trends among the data
- Strong knowledge and experience of digital publishing software and techniques
- A background developing social media strategy, KPIs and goals to increase a digital audience and engagement
- Skilled and comfortable with presenting digital strategy and creative ideas to senior management level clients
- Ensure deep consumer understanding underpins all strategic thinking
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A passion for the pace of digital marketing and digital platform evolution across key players like Facebook and Google
- Experience working in a sports/creative or media agency is preferable, but not essential
