Are you ready to step into a role where you'll be at the heart of ensuring smooth operations within the Defence system? As our AIMS Officer, you'll play a pivotal role in managing the weekly tasks within the Advanced Inventory Management System (AIMS). Your expertise will be crucial in making replenishment recommendations, directly supporting the ACSSPO CLCM for materials.

In this role, you'll be reporting to the Demand Planner and collaborating closely with the Inventory Controller, leveraging your skills to make accurate decisions that will guide the actions of our Procurement team. Your efforts will directly contribute to ensuring that materials are readily available for both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, as well as replenishing ADF stock holdings of inventory.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Under the direction of the Demand Planner ensure the weekly tasks required for optimal AIMS performance are undertaken
- Under the direction of the Demand Planner engage with members of the Supply Support Enterprise team in understanding the stores and material requirements for future ships availabilities and replenishments
- Engage collaboratively with members of the CoA and CLCM Supply Support Team to ensure a smooth and efficient procurement process for efficient replenishment, and always providing clear and accurate communication.
- Ensure all procurement Information systems are accurate and the data contained in the systems is well maintained.
- Identifying improvement ideas
- Developing and leading identified improvement opportunities
- Actively promoting and contributing to Babcock safety culture and to the achievement of the targets of no lost time injuries or erroneous environmental discharges.

**About you**

You are a seasoned professional with a minimum of four (4) years of experience in inventory control, demand planning, or procurement. Your proficiency extends to the use of AIMS and MILIS, ensuring a deep understanding of our system's intricacies.

Your strength lies in your ability to cultivate effective relationships with stakeholders at various levels, facilitating seamless collaboration. You excel in working autonomously, adeptly organizing, and prioritizing tasks to meet complex demands. Your communication skills, both written and verbal, are exceptional, complemented by your proficiency in the MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

You thrive in a team environment, contributing your expertise to achieve shared objectives. Additionally, experience within the Australian Defence Force or the Defence Industry, particularly in ship repair or sustainment, would be advantageous.

A background in logistics or procurement, evidenced by a diploma or certificate, further enhances your suitability for this role.
