An exciting leadership opportunity has become available for an experienced Assistant Director full time, for a maternity leave cover, at our 70 place not for profit early learning centre in Healesville. Our beautiful purpose
- built centre has a natural outdoor space, as well as homely classrooms with access to an abundance of sustainably focused resources. **Description**
- What you will be doing. - Assist in the day-to-day management of the Centre. - Adhering to all legislative requirements by understanding government requirements which regulate the provision of care and education. - Financial management of the Centre, including administering CCMS. - Recruitment, retention and training of staff. - Create strong relationships and engage within the local community. - Drive team engagement through positive leadership and coaching Collaborate with our Educators and Team Leaders and support the centre to meet and exceed the NQS and constantly improve our programs. - Provide regular information about the educational program, as well as the learning and development of individual children to families and management on a regular basis across a variety of means of communication - Guide the Self-Assessment Process and support the development of Quality Improvement Plans
- This role will also include some time working on the floor when required
- Demonstrated experience as an Early Childhood Centre 2IC - A contagious passion and commitment to engaging learning environments - Excellent knowledge of the National Quality Standards and Early Years Learning Frameworks - Sound understanding of the development of children, their health, hygiene, and nutritional needs - Demonstrated commitment to inclusive Early Childhood practice and social justice - Demonstrated experience in building relationships with families - Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team with experience in coaching, developing, and building team capabilities - Demonstrated ability to show initiative and work under mínimal supervision with a commitment to continuous learning - Practical coaching and inspiring approach to employee management - Great written and verbal communication - Minimum ACECQA approved Bachelor or Diploma of Early Childhood Education & Care - Current Working with Children’s Check or VIT Registration - Current First Aid qualifications - Current Child Protection Training - Strong leadership skills and previous experience in a similar role, working within a large Centre and team - The ability to work as a team-player who is open to different views, receptive to feedback and reflects upon best practice.**Qualifications**

Requirements. - Current First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management - Working with Children Check or VIT registration - Diploma or Early Childhood teaching qualification
