**Your new role**

Reporting to the Senior Manager Portfolio Performance, the Portfolio Analyst - Resourcing & Reporting will support the delivery of the Portfolio as well as helping improve the quality and delivery of projects. In this role you will be required to manage and forecast resource planning across the Delivery Portfolio within the Strategic Deliver Office (SDO) and assist in the production of monthly Portfolio reporting for the Strategic Delivery Committee, along with any other reporting across the Portfolio as necessary to ensure the portfolio is delivering.

**Role Responsibilities**
- Maintain a view of Project Management, Business Analyst, Change Management and SME demand for the planned portfolio
- Work directly with the Portfolio Directors, Senior Manager Business Analysis (plus their Business Analysis Team Leads) and the Senior Manager Enterprise Change (plus their Group Change Leads) to refine the needs for all Strategic Delivery Office (SDO) projects to ensure the capability and capacity is available to complete the planned projects.
- Liaise with the technology teams to support their resource planning activities and resource partnerships.
- Liaise with business areas to flag upcoming SME demand and potential efficiencies/gaps in availability.
- Liaise with all other people leaders in the SDO to ensure effective resourcing across the Portfolio.
- Liaise with the People and Culture team to ensure that project delivery resourcing aligns with policies, recruitment and retention strategies in the Fund.
- Maintain an overall view of resource utilisation and potential overheads/over resource/under resource and propose solutions to maintain costs or support delivery.
- When additional resources may be required, provide evidence to support teams to onboard required resources to support (or backfill) resources; assist with recruitment process by initiating requests.
- Co-ordinate supplementing of permanent resources with sourcing of appropriate resources from agreed partners
- Consistently look for improvements to our resource planning and resourcing processes.
- Collaborate closely with the finance and technology teams to support end of month project reporting process.
- Maintain a consolidated view of portfolio costs and report monthly on changes and forecast. Work closely with the finance and business planning teams to ensure visibility and clarity of changes.
- Provide relevant input on portfolio resourcing and health into the monthly Strategic Delivery Committee report. Produce any other reporting across the Portfolio as necessary to ensure the portfolio is delivering.

**What you’ll need**

**Essential**:

- Proficiency with analytical software tools (including Excel and Power BI).
- Developed oral and written communication skills with experience in report writing.
- Developed interpersonal, negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with project finance and analytical skills.
- Experience in project resource planning or similar workforce planning/demand planning and ability to optimise resourcing plans to manage program costs.

**Desirable**:

- Previous experience of working with 3rd party suppliers for the delivery of short-term temporary workers.
