Instrument Teachers

**We're growing our team for 2024**

We are looking for teachers for the New Year that have availability for 2024 January holiday lessons for school band students, as well as teachers available for consistent, week-to-week lessons for our Term 1, 2024 timetables.

If you’re keen to share the gift of musicianship, performance, and theory with others, then teaching at Dural Music Centre might be for you Applications for any instrument are welcome.

Become one of the tutors here at our Dural studios where we boast over twenty-five teachers, and provide private lessons to students of all ages throughout the week and on weekends. You let us know the day and times you’re available to teach for weekly lessons and we provide you with the students. Lessons run for a duration of 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or 60 minutes based on students request and teacher recommendation. Experience in teaching is ideal.

**We’re searching for tutors who**:

- Are studying or have a background in studying music or education. University students are welcome.
- Can help students build their technical skills, knowledge on music theory, and confidence in performance.
- Cater to a student’s goal of what they’d like to get out of their lessons.
- Teach a student’s desired genres while also developing their tastes.
- Have experience with or a willingness to learn about examinations.
- Can potentially guide a student through exams, including AMEB, Rockschool, and Trinity examinations.
- Are willing to build rapport with parents in order to give them updates on student lessons, such as practice focus and progress so far.

- Punctual attendance and stable weekly schedules
- An enthusiasm for teaching and music
- Confident English-speaking abilities

**Salary**: $47.00 per hour

- DURAL, NSW 2158: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Teaching: 1 year (preferred)

- Working with Children Check (required)
