If you’re keen to share the gift of musicianship, performance, and theory with others, then teaching at Dural Music Centre might be for you While we welcome applicants of any instrumental specialty, we are seeking instrument tutors who specialise in teaching drums, violin, saxophone, clarinet, flute, or trumpet.
Become one of the tutors here at our Dural studios where we boast over twenty-five teachers, and provide private lessons to students of all ages throughout the week and on weekends. You let us know the day and times you’re available to teach for weekly lessons and we provide you with the students. Lessons run for a duration of 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or 60 minutes. Experience in teaching is ideal but not required.
We’re searching for tutors who:
- Are studying or have a background in studying music or education. University students are welcome.
- Can help students build their technical skills, knowledge on music theory, and confidence in performance.
- Cater to a student’s goal of what they’d like to get out of their lessons.
- Teach a student’s desired genres while developing their tastes.
- Have experience with or a willingness to learn about examinations.
- Can potentially guide a student through exams, including AMEB, Rockschool, and Trinity examinations.
- Are punctual and have a stable schedule for weekly lessons.

- A friendly, patient, and welcoming approach to students
- An enthusiasm for teaching and music
- Confident English-speaking abilities
