We are looking for a** Principal Advisor, Business Conduct Office - APAC West **to support the Manager Investigations - APAC West to work in collaboration with the broader Business Conduct Office (BCO). You will investigate and resolve moderate to complex allegations autonomously with mínimal supervision and pro-actively monitor trends and share insights with the BCO Governance & Reporting team to support the business in line with the Corrective and Preventative Action approach to managing misconduct. As a senior member of the team, you enjoy mentoring and training less experienced staff. In addition, you will monitor data collection, provide advice regarding ongoing compliance with BCO processes and procedures, and provide project and complex investigation support to the Manager Investigations - APAC West.

Reporting to the **Manager Investigations - APAC West** you will:
- Conduct trauma-informed and people-centric investigations into allegations of misconduct involving moderate to complex matters across the APAC West region
- Work closely with a variety of internal stakeholders within our business units, product groups and functions in the implementation of the investigative process and to assist them with managing the welfare of investigation participants
- Collect and assess evidence in all its forms
- Prepare comprehensive investigation reports and be able to demonstrate the fair and reasonable basis for all findings, either internally or in an external legal forum if required
- As required, contribute to post-investigative discussions to identify organizational and environmental factors relevant to findings and to assist the business with the Corrective and Preventative Action process, and as it relates to ongoing business integrity risk mitigation and process optimization strategies
- Peer review investigation reports
- Monitor and provide advice regarding high-quality data collection in APAC West and compliance with BCO processes and procedures
- Assist the Manager, Investigations, APAC West with supervision of complex investigations and provide project support
- Coach / mentor Specialist Investigators
- Provide advice, guidance and training to Specialist investigators
**About you**
To succeed in this role, you will be recognized as a specialist in investigations, within your particular areas of expertise, and also have the skills and experience to act as an advisor to the Manager Investigations - APAC West in relation to supervision of investigations and projects.
You will be interfacing with investigation participants and various stakeholder groups across all levels of the organisation and must be capable of managing conflicts, collecting and assessing evidence in all forms, assessing witness credibility, sound communication and writing skills and the ability to navigate difficult discussions with participants and stakeholders. You will display exemplary and unquestionable personal integrity and be able to take a firm but fair stand, displaying enthusiastic persistence when solving complex issues. You will also have a keen interest in data-driven continuous improvement and workflow management.
- Degree level (or equivalent professional investigation accreditations)
- Background in either law, forensic accounting, finance, auditing or human resources
- Deep experience in both general workplace/behavioural misconduct and integrity based misconduct investigations
- Proven experience in interviewing and report writing skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Deep experience in forensic analysis of evidence
- Knowledge of internal control frameworks
- Ability to evaluate large volumes of data in an efficient and organised manner
- Project management skills
- Data collection, reporting and analysis skills or an interest in developing these skills
- Excellent time management, record keeping and a good team ethic
- Ability to mentor and develop junior team members and to monitor workflow and compliance within internal policies
