**Department Overview**:

- Participate in the day-to-day support in providing high quality and high value support services to the Qld GWN radio network, duties including asset management, repairs, programming, vehicle installation support and logistics.
- Ensuring a strong working relationship is formed working with Telstra NOCC, Operations Manager and Service Delivery Manager, as well as customers and sub-contractors to provide maximum exposure to operational issues and priorities.

**- Support of the subscriber devices deployed within the GWN, including vehicle installations of mobile, asset management and support in the quality assurance of supplied devices.
- Perform equipment configuration and refurbishment tasks as described below to high quality standards:

- Program subscriber terminals as per prescribed procedures
- Ensure the relevant systems are updated when any subscriber equipment configuration is altered by the Subscriber team
- Identify faulty equipment and materials and determine the most suitable course of action to repair
- Perform asset tagging including updating any applicable database
- Coordinate asset movements in line with Subscriber Services requirements, other departments and various project activities.
- Provide support for diagnosing and where possible correcting equipment configuration related issues.
- Perform vehicle subscriber equipment installation designs and create design documentation.
- Inspect customer vehicles to ensure that vehicle systems are installed in conformance with the relevant vehicle installation designs and configuration requirements and ensure that installations are robust and of high quality standard.
- Ensure that the installation contractors follow the relevant processes and procedures including submitting the required documentation for each installation and de-installation.
- Act as a Motorola Solutions site representative and coordinator for day to day matters relating to vehicle installations and de-installations.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with customers and installation/support contractors at the various worksites.
- Identify technical and other issues or improvements for the maintenance of subscriber terminals and completion of vehicle installations.
- Provide monthly reports and data.
- Comply with Motorola policies, procedures and practices.
- Inspection work may be required to be performed at locations other than the primary site.
- Must be prepared to work overtime as required.
- Participate in the On Call Roster for after hours primary response.

***Basic Requirements**:
**Education & Qualifications**

**Essential**:

- Certificate III or IV in Electronics / Radio Trades Certificate, Auto electrical or relevant trade qualification (e.g. in communications, radio or electronics)

**Desirable**:

- Associate Diploma in Electrical / Electronics or equivalent
- Studies in Automotive, Engineering, Customer Service or Project Management

**Professional Experience**

**Essential**:

- Demonstrable experience in the installation of electronic equipment into vehicles.
- Experience in carrying out quality assurance inspections in vehicles.
- Fully conversant with the environment in commercial and passenger vehicles.

**Desirable**:

- Previous experience with two-way radio equipment installation in commercial or emergency services fleets.
- Working knowledge of two-way radio and mobile antenna tuning.
- Experience in the use of digital communications test equipment.
- Electronic equipment and software configuration understanding or experience.
- Auto-electrical experience.
- Possess a well-founded understanding of quality assurance processes.
