**About the role**

You will be part of the Aboriginal Oral Health team, working to implement the Aboriginal Oral Health Program, which aims to improve the oral health of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people by increasing oral health knowledge in the community and working to improve access to dental services.

**As part of the Aboriginal Oral Health team, you will**:

- Lead consultations through engaging with Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander community, staff, consumers and other stakeholders.
- Prepare progress reports and project plans for projects as part of the SA Dental Aboriginal Oral Health Program.
- Work with a range of stakeholders both internal and external to SA Dental.
- Partner with Aboriginal community and health services to raise awareness of oral health and SA Dental.
- Work with other SA Dental Project teams to further Health Promotion initiatives in line with Health Promotion principles and SA Dental strategic directions.
- Understand Aboriginal culture, values, and beliefs and how these affect health and well-being.
- Knowledge of the Social Determinants of Aboriginal health.

**Essential Requirements**
- Current National Police Clearance (NPC)
- Working with Children Check
- Immunisation screening as indicated in the role description. SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
