The role

As part of our Corporate HR team, the Human Resources Business Partner(s) will play a key role in ongoing development and implementation of HR initiatives that seek to improve the capability of the Saab Australia business and its employees.
- Provide specialist input into business strategies and plans, linking people initiatives to business goals, including guidance and support on employee engagement and change management initiatives.
- Coordinate and manage employee relations issues to ensure a harmonious and productive workplace relations are maintained, and compliance with Australian legislative requirements is maintained
- Ensure the provision of timely, consistent coaching, advice and support on all aspects of HR to our people leaders. This includes performance management, recruitment, induction, employment relationship, remuneration, recognition and reward, leadership development and change management.
- Coach and support managers in the development and implementation of a diverse range of workforce strategies and processes including induction, performance and behaviour management, leadership management, succession planning, injury management and management of grievances and disputes. Coordinate investigations of such matters where appropriate.
- Lead the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives, using business knowledge and intelligence to inform changes and develop solutions to ensure that all HR operational systems and processes are fit for purpose.
- Flexible working arrangements such as hybrid working from home / office and 9 day fortnight will be considered for this role._

About you
- Your skills and experience will include:_
- Tertiary qualifications in a HR or a related discipline and/or relevant professional experience in an equivalent role
- High-level knowledge of applicable legislation, industrial relations instruments and frameworks
- Ability to interpret legislation, policies and other industrial instruments
- Commercially and politically astute
- Knowledge and understanding of contemporary and best practice HR approaches
- Demonstrated experience working within a HR Business partnering role supporting portfolios
- Demonstrated and generalist experience in all HR functions
- Demonstrated ability to manage workload including the ability to prioritise work and meet established timeframes

As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
