Christmas Creek: 8D6R / 4D3R - FIFO ex Perth, Busselton, Broome, Fitzroy Crossing, Kununurra

The 2 roles currently being recruited, Superintendent Dewatering, will be responsible for managing the Eastern Zone (Christmas Creek) and Western Zone (Cloudbreak) Dewatering teams. One role only per zone on the above roster.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Nurture a culture of Safety & Production that aligns and drives all team decisions.
- Manage the Operations, Mechanical and Electrical teams to adhere to, and safely complete the weekly/fortnightly plan.
- Safely deliver on our Quarterly Dewatering Plan and continue to develop key internal business partner relationships (Mining/OPF/D&B/IS).
- Drive a mantra of continuous improvement with a high focus on cost avoidance, cost reduction whilst not compromising safety.
- Build on our diverse recruitment and retention strategy and continue to develop this process as we look to find parity in our teams.
- Regularly liaise and meet with Aboriginal Development teams on how we can further grow on our commitment to traditional owner's teams, both FTE and contracting partners as well as our commitment to VTEC/LEAP/GIFT and other indigenous employment and engagement pathways.
- Display a high level of Emotional Intelligence and Psychosocial Awareness.
- Assist to drive the return of excess materials as a return to stock consumables, C3 return and disposals.
- The Superintendent role is a key position therefore the incumbent must be able to deliver all integral messages and business updates with our values at the forefront and have the team understand the WHY and HOW we influence change or direction with positivity.
- Ensure visible leadership infield with team interactions through consistently achieving / exceeding set safety KPIs.
- Ability to interrogate data and pull efficiencies from that information and deliver in a longer-term plan.
- Ensure the environmental obligations and licensing for water management are met and adhered to by the leadership and core teams.
- Drive asset management related decisions through our Engineering Leadership and team where required and action tasks from such meetings.
- Drive and maintain adherence to processes and procedures in line with SAP Work Management Principals.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Experience in a similar role with =/> 5yrs experience - Mining, Dewatering, Processing Environment.
- Experience managing a team of operations and maintenance personnel in a mining, processing or water management capacity.
- Experience developing monthly and quarterly budgets for submission to the manager and commercial team for reviews.
- Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous Alt SSE or SSE experience and qualifications.
- Below Water Table mining experience, its challenges noted and opportunities for successful execution.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and alongside a high functioning team.
- Demonstrated computer literacy with all MS Office and advanced SAP highly desirable.
