**_Are you a Registered Nurse completing your Post Graduate Diploma in Maternity and looking for a supported program as you transition to the Registered Midwife position?_**

**_ Monash Women’s is providing the opportunity across the all sites, to consolidate your learning and experience, and broaden your Maternity career and experience the speciality areas of Maternity services, through a supported program._**

**A Day in the Life**:
Upon completion of your Post Graduate Diploma in August, we are excited to commence a transition to Maternity Practice year which offers the following:

- 6 months in Birth Suite with supernumerary shifts at the commencement
- Supported to work in Pregnancy Assessment Unit (PAU) in the last 2 months of your Birth Suite rotation
- One month in Extended Postnatal Care EPC), where you will be supported to work independently
- One month in Antenatal clinic, where you will be supported to work independently
- Two months supernumerary in your chosen specialty area. This will consist of two paid supernumerary days each week, with the rest of your EFT rostered to your home site where there is a need (Birth Suite or maternity).
- Educational support to assist with consolidation and upskilling

The specialty areas include the following:

- ** ADAPPT** days will be dependent on the team’s clinic days and workload
- ** Fetal Surveillance **for MMC midwives will be any day Monday-Friday during business hours, at the FSU at MMC
- ** Fetal Surveillance **for Dandenong and Casey midwives will be allocated to the FSU at Dandenong, which operates Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday
- ** Maternal Fetal Medicine **will attend the Casey MFM clinic on a Tuesday and attend MMC for the clinic on a Thursday
- ** Fetal Diagnostic Unit **midwives will attend MMC on a Tuesday and Thursday.

**_ This is a 12 month program commencing in August 2023_**

- Successful completion of a Graduate Diploma of Midwifery and registration as a registered Midwife with AHPRA
- Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, 7 days, all shifts
- Australian working rights
