About the Queensland Academy for Science Mathematics and Technology
QASMT is an academically selective entry, co-educational state school for highly-capable students in Years 7 to 12. The Academy is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School and is proud to uphold the values of an International Baccalaureate education. Our focus is helping students reach their full potential. This is achieved through the rigorous academic programme, a focus on the holistic education of every student and the outstanding commitment of our staff.QASMT currently offers the IB Diploma Programme (IB DP) as its core curriculum in Years 11 & 12. The IB DP is a demanding pre-university course of study assessed by external examinations. About the Role
The suitable applicant will be a high calibre, outstanding senior educational leader with a contemporary leadership style focussed on collegial engagement, collaboration and innovation in order to foster and drive continuous improvement throughout the Academy.
We are seeking a dedicated leader for our Engagement portfolio. This role includes leading school operations, timetabling, reporting and data management across our school community. In addition, the role requires a passionate, high-energy leader who is able to work in a fast-paced, high expectations environment, with a proven record of accomplishment of working with high achieving students.
Applications are encouraged from appropriately qualified and experienced educators with exceptional relational skills who display the warmth, energy, integrity and passion to inspire our students and engage with our Academy community.

**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Deputise for the Principal when required.
- Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
