**About the position**

The primary purpose of the position/s of Communication Advisor for the School of Agriculture, Biomedicine & Environment and La Trobe Institute for Molecular Science is to raise the profile of the School and LIMS, both internally and externally, and to foster goodwill amongst staff, industry partners and collaborators, through strategic and operational support and effective communications.

**Skills and Experience**

To be considered for this position, you will have;
- An undergraduate degree in an area relevant to the position with at least 4 years subsequent experience; or extensive experience and communications expertise; or an equivalent alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and excellent attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate clearly with multiple stakeholders to achieve specified outcomes and common goals. Demonstrated ability to write and edit text for print and digital channels, including for audio/video.
- Demonstrated high level of self-motivation and personal management skills. Ability to work effectively under limited supervision or independently as well as contribute to the team.
