**Description**

As a Social Media Content Officer, you will be responsible for creating and editing social media content that is designed to engage users and create an interactive relationship between our followers and Defence Force Recruiting.

Reporting to the Social Media Lead, you will be a driving force behind our social media presence and engage followers across all channels. You will work closely with stakeholders from across the organization to develop and implement innovative marketing strategies that bring greater engagement and reach to our digital platforms.

This is a unique role filled with variety and opportunity, where no two days are the same.

**You will**:

- Create, edit and maintain social media content for social media channels
- Develop content for various purposes, including campaigns, events, articles and information resources
- Manage the social media channels, including planning and scheduling organic posts, writing inventive and engaging posts, and being supporting community engagement
- Be responsible for proofing and publishing social media posts, ensuring that they adhere to the organizational and brand guidelines
- Maintain a directory and inventory of digital campaign support materials and collateral, ensuring all resources are current and accurate, and coordinate the creation of new materials as needed
- Develop and execute a social media calendar

To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience of 2+ years working in social media content development and implementation and a bachelors' degree in Marketing, Business or related field.

- Strong experience in delivery of social media strategies or campaigns
- An understanding of content best practice principles and experience in developing, implementing and evaluating integrated communication strategies
- Keep up to date with current social media updates and trends
- Experience with social media management tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level project management skills when implementing multiple tasks with competing priorities and deadlines
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Think outside the box
