**Your opportunity**:
Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer and working within the **Risk and Resilience team**, we are seeking a passionate safety professional to lead the safety function and a team of highly skilled safety and health professionals. This is a critical role which will continue to help shape the safety culture at Urban Utilities. You will be responsible for working across all levels of the business in partnership with senior executives and leaders to ensure a safe and healthy work environment through planning, managing and operationalising safety systems programs, and initiatives.

As the **Head of Safety** you will be responsible for enterprise leadership on all aspects of organisational, occupational, process and employee safety. You will provide strategic direction and advice with oversight of operational implementation and delivery. While measuring enterprise performance and reporting, you will also lead continuous improvement of safety performance across Urban Utilities.

**About you**:
As an experienced and passionate safety leader you will have demonstrated experience in leading occupational and process safety programs that have resulted in measurable business outcomes and sustainable change.
- You will have strong leadership skills and the ability to plan, manage and organise resources, to meet business outcomes and the ability to influence and build effective stakeholder relationships.
- You will have experience and be comfortable working with executive leadership representatives on the development, implementation and delivery of enterprise-wide health and safety strategy, programs and operational practices to successfully support the strategic objectives of the business.
- Having worked in a high risk industry or environment, you will have capability in operational safety, managing and monitoring safety systems and employing strategies to mitigate risks at an operational and tactical level.
