Are you an experienced Digital Matte Paint Artist with a passion for creating stunning visual worlds? Join our client, a renowned VFX studio based in Sydney, as they bring film projects to life.

**About the Role**

Our client is seeking a talented freelance Digital Matte Paint Artist to collaborate with their award-winning team. In this role, you will craft breathtaking digital environments and integrate them seamlessly into live-action footage or CG scenes for high-profile film and television projects.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Create highly detailed and photorealistic matte paintings using 2D and 3D tools.
- Seamlessly integrate matte paintings into live-action plates or CG elements, maintaining artistic and technical quality.
- Collaborate closely with supervisors, compositors, and other artists to deliver visuals aligned with creative briefs and deadlines.
- Maintain consistency in style and quality across shots.
- Troubleshoot and address challenges that arise during the production process.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Proven experience as a Digital Matte Paint Artist in high-end VFX productions.
- Proficiency in industry-standard tools such as Photoshop, Nuke, Maya, and 3D projection techniques.
- Strong artistic ability with a keen eye for detail, color, light, and composition.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Availability to work onsite in Sydney or remotely if mutually agreed upon.
