The Office of Public Prosecutions (OPP) is an independent statutory authority responsible for preparing and conducting criminal prosecutions in Victoria on behalf of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP). Matters prosecuted by the DPP and the OPP involve serious crimes or matters that are of significance to the fair and effective operation of the Victorian criminal justice system. The OPP consists of the Solicitor for Public Prosecutions and a staff of approximately 475 providing legal and corporate support to the DPP, the Chief Crown Prosecutor and Crown Prosecutors in the exercise of their independent roles in the criminal justice system.

**Payroll and People Services Officer**

The OPP has an exciting new opportunity to our People & Culture team as a Payroll and People Services Officer.

The Payroll and People Services Officer is responsible for providing accurate and timely advice to managers and colleagues regarding pay and general People & Culture queries. A successful incumbent will contribute to the efficient delivery of People Services through all phases of the employee life cycle.

**About the Role**:

- Prepare and process fortnightly payroll and transactions relating to employment conditions, including salary over and underpayments and recovery.
- Provide general administrative support as required within HR/People Services Systems such as Chris21, CM10 Records Management System and more.
- Undertake reporting as required, including audits, EOFY, annual reporting and identifying future reporting requirements.
- Experience working within a People & Culture / Human Resources environment, preferably within a professional organisation where confidentiality is important.
- A demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks in a dynamic environment with competing deadlines.
