**About the team**
The ICT Operations Branch provides ICT support and underpinning infrastructure services to the department and the various Offices, ensuring all staff in the department and various offices have access to stable and secure technology.
Working closely with our stakeholders, the team delivers a range of services including:
- Server maintenance, monitoring and releases
**About the role**
- Uplift the existing infrastructure to achieve the desired end-stare
- Migration of mailboxes to the new system across multiple geographic locations and environments
- Migration of Enterprise Vault archive data into Exchange Native Archiving folders
- Investigation and resolution of complex technical problems across the technical stack
- Creation/update of various documentation including as-built documentation, design documentation, detailed migration plans, DR documentation and decommissioning plans as required
- Technical representation at project meetings
- Facilitating technical workshops (if required)
**Essential Requirements**:
- Expert knowledge of Hybrid Exchange Online, Exchange 2013, 16 and 19 including implementation, upgrades and day to day management activities in a complex multi-forest environment.
- Proven experience in migrations including to Exchange Online, cross forest and from legacy Exchange versions.
- High level Exchange troubleshooting skills, including for mail flow, mail gateway technologies and on-premise/cloud-based resource connectivity.
- High level knowledge of Windows Server fundamentals (AD, DNS, DFS ect), and Group Policy configuration (including Advanced Group Policy Management).
- Experience with Australian Government IT Cyber Security processes including ISM, Essential 8 and ACSC hardening guides
- Strong experience in writing technical documentation including design documentation and SOPs.
