**The opportunity**

We are looking for an experienced People Partner to join Bupa Villages and Aged Care on a 12-month fixed term contract.

We are one of Australia's leading residential Aged Care providers with more than 50 care homes, supporting over 5000 residents, and you will be part of an amazing HR team that provides strategic HR guidance to our Regional Managers to deliver on their strategic people initiatives. There is a real opportunity for you to make an impact and difference in our people’s lives and contribute to the ongoing success of our Bupa Villages and Aged Care team.

As a People Partner, your main focus is to enable business leaders to effectively manage and deliver the people strategy for their region. To succeed in this role, you need significant business partnering experience with excellent stakeholder management, the ability to look at all people-related matters from a holistic point of view, coach and enable leaders to be successful people leaders and have an empathetic approach to HR. Please note this role will have some travel requirements.

This role can be based in Sydney or Brisbane with hybrid working arrangements.

**How will I help?**

Key accountabilities include:

- Truly business partner with our stakeholders and take accountability for the effective delivery of people strategies including aligning performance, capability, engagement and talent initiatives to the business.
- Provide guidance and advice to line managers based on in depth understanding of the area you are supporting and the broader business strategy
- Partner with leaders to develop engagement initiatives with a commercial mindset and passion for continuous improvement and innovation
- Work closely with the People Advisors in the effective management of employee relations cases
- Actively support the implementation and roll out of new and cyclical initiatives such as the annual review process, engagement surveys and new processes and policies.
- Support the Head of People to deliver people plans which address the strategic and operational business needs and aligned to the overall people strategy

**What do I need?**
- Extensive HR business partnering experience partnering with a variety of stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex end to end ER cases
- Strong operational experience with a hands-on approach to HR but also the ability to think strategically and be proactive in providing tailored solutions to the business
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused mindset and the ability to connect with people to understand their issues and problem solve accordingly
- Experience in generalist HR including but not limited to leadership capability, operational HR delivery, employee retention, talent management etc.
