**Who are we?**

Community Services Statewide Services Directorate (CSSS) provides specialised operational support and intervention across a number of program streams in the Department of Communities and Justice, including child protection and out-of-home care. CSSS also provides valuable services and support to the broader public and our government and non-government partners throughout NSW and Australia.

**Your role**

The Project Officer works as part of the Executive Support Team to provide high level executive, secretariat, and project support services to the CSSS Executive. This includes managing and preparing executive communications and implementing strategies in line with the Department of Communities and Justice responsibilities to improve service delivery outcomes for families, groups and communities across NSW.

**What you’ll do**

With guidance from the Senior Executive officer and as part of a small team, you will
- Prioritise correspondence, inquiries and demands made on the Executive and coordinate and prepare written responses on behalf of the Executive.
- Provide a range of project management and support services, including preparation of reports and coordination of stakeholders, to ensure projects achieve agreed business objectives and performance criteria.
- Liaise with a wide range of internal stakeholders on issues and inquiries at various levels of complexity and urgency and from many and varied sources.
- Undertake research and analysis, identifying trends and preparing documentation, to support informed decision-making and planning.

- Experience in of knowledge of the child protection and out-of-home-care sector.
- Strong project and time management experience.
- Commitment to customer service and ability to proactively develop solutions tailored to needs.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
