**What we do**

Community Services Statewide Services (CSSS) provides specialised operational support and intervention across several program streams, including child protection and out-of-home care. CSSS also provides valuable services and support to the broader public and our government and nongovernment partners throughout NSW and Australia.

CSSS includes:

- Child Protection Helpline and NSW Domestic Violence Line
- Open Adoptions and Records Access
- Information Access and Exchange
- Intensive Support Services
- ChildStory
- Joint Child Protection Response Program

**Temporary Project Officer role (15 months) - Interstate Liaison Team**

The Interstate Liaison team coordinates interstate child protection services to support children, young people and families moving across Australian State/Territory and New Zealand borders.

The team delivers specialist practice advice to support successful interstate placements and support plans. The team is available for consultation prior to an interstate move and provides advice on services and supports that help consider any legal, permanency, policy, financial and social factors.

**What you’ll do**
- You will manage and implement a range of projects, undertake research and data analysis to support their development and improve processes in the unit.
- You will develop project related documents and communications for stakeholders and provide support to staff in the Interstate Liaison team.

**Ongoing Project Officer roles - Executive Support Team**:
The Project Officer works as part of the Executive Support Team to provide high level executive, secretariat, and project support services to the CSSS Executive. This includes managing requests that come through the allocations mailbox and implementing strategies in line with the Department of Communities and Justice responsibilities to improve service delivery outcomes for families, groups and communities across NSW.

**What you’ll do**

With guidance from the Senior Executive officer and as part of a small team, you will:

- Prioritise correspondence, inquiries and demands made on the Executive and coordinate and prepare written responses on behalf of the Executive.
- Provide a range of project management and support services, including preparation of reports and coordination of stakeholders, to ensure projects achieve agreed business objectives and performance criteria.
- Liaise with a wide range of internal stakeholders on issues and inquiries at various levels of complexity and urgency and from many and varied sources.
- Undertake research and analysis, identifying trends and preparing documentation, to support informed decision-making and planning.
