As a Research Assistant, you will undertake a variety of research support tasks, which may include a mix of administrative, logístical, experimental and technical (where applicable) tasks. In this position, you will work on a clinical study trialling a therapy to improve outcomes in people with persistent post-concussive symptoms after mild traumatic brain injury (concussion). This role involves working with participants, conducting assessments and therapeutic training.

**In this role, you will (but are not limited to)**:

- Liaise with hospital, clinic, community and research staff to maximise recruitment.
- Conduct clinical research assessments.
- Monitor data quality and liaise with relevant stakeholders to convey issues and implement solutions.
- Monitor consumable levels across research sites.
- Undertake Research, Administrative, and Technical Support tasks.

This position sits within the Curtin Faculty of Health Sciences Neuroscience research area, which also focuses on understanding cerebrovascular disorders, preventing the loss of function that occurs following brain injury, and developing insight into how the brain develops. To help us achieve these goals, we are looking for someone with the following:
**Selection Criteria**
- Completion of a relevant degree; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Demonstrated experience in relevant scientific/research methods, techniques and protocols.
- Demonstrated organisational and administrative skills with the ability to coordinate activities and prioritise tasks.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to collate and analyse data.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in both written and oral communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues and stakeholders and to produce documentation which is clear and concise.
- Demonstrated competent in the use of word-processing and spreadsheet packages, including the ability to generate reports.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as effectively as part of a team.

**Desirable Criteria**
- Experience acquiring and/or analysing EEG and/or MRI data
- Experience administering cognitive assessments
