**SC1**:

- Demonstrate knowledge of current best practice interventions for students with support needs.

**SC2**:

- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and evaluate programs that proactively build student wellbeing, social and emotional skills and resilience.

**SC3** -Highly developed communication, networking and interpersonal skills including the capacity to work cooperatively with a range of people including teachers, education support staff, students and families.

**SC4**:

- Demonstrated experience in developing relationships with community agencies and other service providers and coordinating their provision in a school.

**SC5**:

- Clear understanding of the legislative requirements including the Child Safe Standards and the privacy of health information.

**Responsibilities**:

- Consult on the development of evidence-based interventions and programs- Familiarity of evidence based programs
- Willing to work collaboratively with staff members on the development of preventative programs
- Assisting staff members in the roll out of programs
- Provide professional learning to staff and parents- Provide and facilitate professional learning and information for teaching staff
- Provide professional learning and information to parents
- Consult with relevant staff regarding management of individuals, groups or events.
- Become aware of trends occurring across year groups, staff and parents and plan intervention accordingly
- Respond to and assist the organization in their response to critical incidents and emergencies. This can require:
- Knowledge of current evidence on management of traumatic incidents
- Participation in the development and review of school policies and plans for critical incident response
- Assisting with school wide management of, and response to, critical incidents and emergencies
- To liaise with Leadership on wellbeing issues with regards to students and Families.
- Other duties as required by Principal and School Improvement Team.

Officially opened in 2015 Truganina College is located within the City of Wyndham on the corner of Clearwood and Brigalow Drives, Truganina, MEL 203 B3. The area is believed to be named after Truganini, a full-blooded Aboriginal Tasmanian woman who spent a short time in the area.

The College is organised around the primary and middle years stages of schooling. The school has a strong focus on effective transition from Early Learning Centres and to Senior Secondary education.

The College has a culture of high expectations and a clear focus on visible learning with strong learning growth for every student.

The key components of the teaching curriculum at Truganina College are the effective teaching of literacy and numeracy, using evidence informed, high impact strategies. The College provides high quality learning experiences ensuring breadth and depth in all curriculum areas. Staff work together to share responsibility for and cater to the individual learning needs of all students.
