INCH Housing Inc. (INCH) is a Nationally registered Community Housing Provider operating in Brisbane Northside.

INCH is a not-for-profit Incorporated Association, a registered Charity and an ATO endorsed Deductible Gift Recipient.

INCH provides housing services for people on low incomes and who have multi-complex circumstances. Most of our clients have experienced homelessness or were at very high risk of homelessness before obtaining a home with INCH.

INCH’s housing services are provided in partnership with Queensland Department of Housing, Brisbane City Council and many businesses, government and community support organisations.

**Job Summary**

As a part-time Tenancy Officer in our Tenancy Department, you will play a key role in delivering tenancy services to our clientele from INCH’s Office. The hours are 30 hours per week, have flexibility of work days and/or daily hours but is required to match the service needs of our clients and Award terms.

Salary range $71,128 - $76,272 - pro-rata of full time - Social and Community, Home Care and Disabilities Award, dependent on your qualifications and experience/s.

**The Tenancy Officer (TO), Job Purpose**:
You will be working in a small team with dedicated and passionate team members, providing direct services to eligible tenants and occupants to assist to sustain a tenancy in the short and long term per INCH policies and funding contracts terms.

Also assisting tenants to strengthen their independence in rental housing and in personal development, in co-ordination with various government and community support services.

Your daily work experience will be broad and diverse, which could include any of the following tasks:

- Allocation of new clients to INCH’s housing service assisting them to secure a home.
- Working with INCH’s Tenants - delivering housing services to a diverse client group with very high and high complex circumstances.
- Working with specific target groups - homeless people, people who have experienced Family and Domestic violence, people with mental health, disabilities, youth, aged, sole parent, diverse cultures and minority groups.
- Lease Management:Management of tenancy lease terms and conditions under Queensland’s _Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act 2008 _
- Manage tenancies in varying neighbourhoods, be proactive to develop positive environments and to investigate, manage and aid to develop solutions to complex living issues as they arise.
- Implement Tenant participation activities to tenants and their families
- Encourage tenants to participate become involved in Tenant Participation functions.
**- **Liaise and interact with a diverse range of community, government agencies and businesses to form good working relationships to assist/engage with INCH’s tenant’s and their families.

- _Experience in working in the community housing sector or other related experience._
- _Experience in working with clients from varying target groups of whom have high and complex needs. _
- _Knowledge and experience in implementing the Residential Tenancy and Rooming Accommodation Act - 2008 for tenancy and property management._
- _Experience in liaising with a wide variety of support services, local businesses and government agencies_
- _Good communication skills - both oral and written skills. Ability to communicate well with clients, partner agencies, external government and community agencies and the wider community and the general community_.
- _A friendly, open and approachable person who enjoys relationship building and who is steady and calm person who can remain level-headed, think clearly and make rational decision in different situations._

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $71,128.00 - $76,272.00 per year
