We are currently looking for a proactive and experienced **Payroll Officer** to join our finance team in this autonomous role and drive the end-to-end payroll function whilst delivering a friendly, accurate, and timely service.

**About our opportunity**

You may be well-versed working in a large payroll team, looking for an opportunity to drive a payroll function. Or you may be experienced at working in a standalone role, looking to take the next step in your career. Either way, you will play a key role as our payroll specialist, as we continue to grow as a business.

You will report to the Financial Controller and be responsible for processing fortnightly and monthly payroll for 200+ employees in a multi-site environment using Time and Attendance and Payroll software.

**Key focuses of the role include**:

- Identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving any payroll discrepancies
- Onboarding and termination of employees
- Managing employee entitlements and statutory obligations in line with current requirements
- Contributing to process improvement initiatives and managing the Time and Attendance system (Human Force) and Payroll system (HR3)

**About you**

To thrive in this role, you will have:

- Demonstrated experience across the full payroll function _(healthcare sector highly regarded)_
- An outstanding eye for detail, high level of accuracy, and strong numeracy skills
- High level communication skills, including the ability to interact with a diverse range of people and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- A forward-thinking, proactive, and analytical approach with the ability to identify efficiencies
- The ability to work to prioritise tasks and work autonomously to meet deadlines
- Confidence working in a fast-paced environment while remaining adaptable, agile, and resilient
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of programs, Time and Attendance, and Payroll systems
