**About the role**

The casual Dietitian Assistant assists with covering vacant shifts and for sick or annual leave relief. In this role you will be working directly with patients assisting them with their menu choices and ensuring the food provided meets the requirements of their therapeutic dietary needs. You will also assist the Dietitian with tasks relevant to your role.

Your main duties will include:

- Preparation, distribution, collection and collation of patient menus
- Oversite of plating processes in the hospital kitchen
- Assisting the Dietitians with suitable tasks

About you
- Certificate IV in Allied Heath Assistance (Nutrition and Dietetics); or Certificate III in Nutrition & Dietetic Assistance (or equivalent experience)
- Understanding of basic clinical nutrition practices, specialised nutrition products and food safety/HACCP
- Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills, organisational skills
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to strict schedules
- Ability to work as a team member as well as independently
- Ability to cover a 7-day roster and cover shifts at short notice
- Basic computer literacy and ability to easily learn new software
- Ability to work within the Mission and Values of Calvary Health Care Kogarah
