Retail Banking Services (RBS) is the public face of CommBank, delivering a seamless banking experience for the future, to our 10 million + personal and small business customers. We offer market-leading products and services, supported by some of the world’s best systems and processes.

The Everyday Banking Deposit Product team is responsible for the manufacturing and profitable growth of Retail Savings Products, Fixed Investment Products, for the Retail and Business Bank segments. Our responsibilities include the strategy, product design, development, pricing, risk, and day to day management of the Deposit suite of products.

**Do work that matters**
As a Manager Product Governance, you will identify and drive opportunities to uplift the accuracy and effectiveness of fee and interest accuracy controls and exception reports -along with ongoing governance of key controls and strategic assets of EDB.

Key to your success also includes expanding the Knowledge Management Platform, a critical governance tool and strategic asset that underpins Everyday Banking’s product management capability.

You will use your critical thinking to review and understand product operations and capture explicit and tacit knowledge through a systemised approach and process - along with identifying opportunities for improvement, simplification and/or standardisation in the way our products operate.

**Responsibilities for This Role Include**:

- Ensure appropriate governance and effective controls are in place for fees and interest changes
- Execution of fees and interest deep-dive activities to identify key risks and controls gaps to improve fee and interest accuracy of EDB products.
- Closely work with product managers and analytic teams to enhance the accuracy of controls/exception reports.
- Identifying, initiating and managing actions to mitigate risks and to strengthen controls, including issues/incidents identified through various activities.
- Product rule documentation to centralise the explicit and tacit knowledge in a structured format, including ongoing governance.
- Work closely with product managers and L1 risk teams to ensure to reduce the likelihood of fee and interest issues occurring within EDB products.
- Establish appropriate governance and controls for product managers to own and run
- Identifying opportunities for improvement, simplification and/or standardisation in the way our products are constructed and managed.

- Minimum 3-6 years’ experience working within the financial services or related industry.
- Banking products and pricing knowledge (highly desirable).
- Strong documentation skills using various tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, with a high level of commercial acumen.
- Facilitation skills.
- Experience in managing varying levels of stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills, self-motivated, high attention to detail and able to forward plan.
- Highly competent with data analysis in Excel.
- Capacity to work in a busy and agile environment with the ability to meet objectives / targets while delivering outstanding outcomes.
