**The Opportunity**

Ventia are currently seeking a SHEQ Advisor to join our NSW Schools Contract. We are offering full time work in an established contract, flexible working arrangements and opportunities for growth in your role. The focus for this contract is to deliver effective and efficient cleaning services in Public Schools and Government facilities across the Western Sydney, Central Coast, and Hunter regions within strict timeframes that meets stringent requirements. This role will have a strong focus on the people aspect, not only ensuring safety is a top priority but also the mental and physical health of staff.

Travelling throughout sites in the Central Coast and Hunter region, you will be overseeing and reporting on the safety of all work completed on sites. This role will work collaboratively with employees and sub-contractors to ensure best practice is always followed.

**Key duties**:

- Manage and drive the implementation of SHEQ Management Plans across the project.
- Undertake investigations in relation to safety related incidents or issues and provide recommendations.
- Implementing processes to ensure communication and compliance with all Ventia SHEQ policies and procedures.
- Ensuring risk assessments, SWMS and risk registers are maintained and all records are managed in accordance with Ventia SHEQ requirements.
- Provide SHEQ advice and support to the Operations team and subcontractors to deliver SHEQ excellence.
- Promote and enhance safety, environment, and quality culture through maintaining visibility and striking rapport with members of the workforce.
- Develop and assist delivery of safety related training including inductions, toolbox talks and prestart meetings.
- Provide regular reporting on SHEQ performance.

**Could you be our next SHEQ Advisor?**
- Certificate IV qualified in Workplace/ Occupation Health and Safety, Environmental or Quality Equivalent is a must
- Undertaken formal training in incident investigation
- Hold detailed knowledge of SHEQ legislation, regulations & ISO standards
- Experience in workers compensation is highly desirable
- Graduates are encouraged to apply
