Document Controller

Gold Coast Light Rail has transformed public transport on the Gold Coast, helping create an integrated network that connects more people to more places in one of Australia's most dynamic and fastest growing cities.

John Holland is GoldlinQ's nominated design and construction contractor for GCLR3, to extend the existing light rail network by 6.7kms from Broadbeach to Burleigh Heads, including eight new light rail stations, two new light rail-bus connections, and intersection upgrades along the alignment.

Jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland governments, and the City of Gold Coast, this city-shaping project will link communities to business centres, shopping, dining, education, and medical facilities and cater to the Gold Coast's expected population growth in the coming decades.

As construction of GCLR3 gets under way, John Holland is actively recruiting for talented and driven Document Controller to join our team and play a key role in the successful delivery of this iconic Gold Coast project.

**Responsibilities of the role include**:

- Implement and maintain the project document and records management system based on ISO15489 Records Management, ISO9001 Quality Management System, MRTS50 Specific Quality System Requirements, John Holland Integrated Management System and legislative requirements
- Ensure document submissions are in accordance and compliance with the document formats and requirements
- Implement workflows and receive documents in accordance with project requirements and approval of design documentation
- Plan and record document flow to and from necessary parties, including clients, sub-contractors and the project office
- Setup and manage hardcopy drawing files, where required
- Coordinate storage and archiving of project and organisational records
- Coach project personnel on good record keeping practices to create full and accurate records of all business activities
- Ensure the documents are managed in struct confidence

**To be successful in this key role, you must have**:

- 3-5 years' experience in document control
- Experience in document management systems such as Asite or similar
- Excellent knowledge of Sharepoint and Excel
- Bulk uploading document experience across systems
- Experience in a project environment with knowledge of project management processes
- Be able to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Outstanding communication skills and ability to build rapport efficiently
