The Port Kembla Steelworks has achieved Responsible Steel certification, which recognises the sustainability of the operations across several indicators, including social, environmental and governance. **_What you will need:_**
- Background and experience in the maintenance of Fire Systems
- Have at least 2/3 years experience as a Fire Technician or Tester.
- Portables (Extinguishers, Hose Reels, Fire Blankets, Sirens, etc.
- Dry Fire (Alarms & Panels)
- Have the ability to prepare written reports and quotations where required.
- Be a proactive member of the team.
- C Class NSW drivers Licence
- Be well presented with effective communication skills

**_The following will be highly desirable:_**
- Practical experience as a Fire Systems Technician
- Extinguishing Agent Handling Licence (entitlement 2 or 3) is preferred or willing to obtain
- FPAS or Certificate II in Fire Protection is preferred or willing to obtain with in house training.

For more than 20 years, V**_entia _**has had a longstanding relationship with BlueScope in the Illawarra region of New South Wales, providing plant maintenance, engineering and project services and a skilled workforce for numerous BlueScope projects, as well as fabrication facilities. We have recently renewed our contract with BlueScope for maintenance services with the addition of Fire Services at BlueScope’s Port Kembla Steel Works.
