Job Summary

As a Project Coordinator within the Defence Engagement Delivery team, you will play an integral role in supporting the successful delivery of projects and programs to teh Dept of Defence.

**Job Description**:
An excellent opportunity has become available for a highly motivated and passionate Project Coordinator to join the Defence Project Services Team at Telstra.

This is a permanent full-time position. It is a hybrid role that requires you to work from office when required. This role offers you a perfect blend of flexibility and a great team environment to build a successful career.

The opportunity:
As a Project Delivery Specialist, you play an integral role in supporting the successful delivery of projects and programs. You effectively work with stakeholders and are disciplined in managing expectations aligned with budget, quality and scope.

You are an important contributor in Telstra’s delivery of capability to Defence. You demonstrate Telstra behaviours and knowledge of key delivery processes. You actively contribute to the growth of the Delivery team and others by sharing insights and continuously improving your skills.Key responsibilities:
- Managing all phases of the project, from individual Project initiation through to close, ensuring alignment with the original quote or Sales Business Case (SBC) and any additional quotes and Project Change Requests (PCRs)- Ensuring that all established Microsoft Project Schedules and timelines are followed effectively, and escalations are in place to Management where slippages of milestones are identified.- Coordinating with Program Managers, Project Managers and Senior Management to discuss progress and find solutions to scheduling issues.- Overseeing Project financial control and reporting; ensure Project financial controls are implemented and maintained throughout the Project lifecycle.- Producing high quality project reports- Ensuring all project stakeholders (both internal and external) are aware of, and deliver on, their responsibilities and accountabilities.- Providing advice and assistance to the Project Managers, Program Managers and, as needed, Portfolio Managers on the challenges, development and delivery of Projects in Telstra.

Enough about us, let's talk about you.- Hold a minimum of NV1 AGSVA Baseline security clearance.- Previous Project Coordination experience in a complex environment ideally with Defence.- Excellent customer management skills- Excellent communication and presentation skills with a proven record developing positive and transparent stakeholder relationships.- Knowledge of Project Management Tools such as Services+ (SAP), Open Air and MS Project.- Excellent document control and management skills including writing and reviewing project documentation, schedules, time & expense reports and resource forecasts.- Experience in contributing to business improvement initiatives.- MS Project & SharePoint experience essential- Word, Excel & PowerPoint (Intermediate)- Strong administration, time and stakeholder management skills- Certified associate in project management (CAPM), or equivalent certification ITIL Certification (v2 or v3), v3 (desirable)- Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) Certification (desirable)
