**Position Information**:
Windellama Public School (TP2) is located in the Goulburn Network of Schools. Windellama Public School has a current enrolment of 23 students K-6 and 17 in 2024, including 15% of students who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.

Windellama Public School is located in a peaceful rural setting surrounded by farmland, 35 kilometres from Goulburn, 80 kilometres from Queanbeyan or Braidwood and just over an hour to Nowra and the south coast.

The school was established in 1880 and is central to the to the broader Windellama community. Windellama Public School is well supported by a strong, active and involved Parents and Citizens Association. The school is well resourced with an excellent library, variety of technology devices including robotics equipment and outdoor facilities including a multipurpose surfaced court and environmental education spaces.

There is a highly motivated and dedicated staff who share a strong commitment to quality teaching and learning. Parents and staff work together to enhance the learning experiences of all students.

**Selection Criteria**:
In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary.
- An understanding of the role of a Teaching Principal and a proven capacity to expertly lead evidence-based pedagogy and innovation built on collaboration, reflective practice and targeted professional learning.
- Capacity to lead, engage and inspire staff to build a positive team culture focused on continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated capacity to build and embed a whole-school approach to student wellbeing, attendance and engagement, where there is a collective commitment and responsibility for student learning and success.
- Highly visible, approachable, and engaging leader with strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build effective partnerships with students, staff, parents, and the community.

**General Selection Criteria**:
1. High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education

2. Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs

3. High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community

4. Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning

5. Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning

6. Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policies and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
