**The position is part time ongoing, 2 days a week; 08.00 - 16.30, Tuesday and Thursday.**

**About Us**:
McCulloch House is a 16-bed inpatient unit based at Clayton. The team works closely with all facets of Monash Health services, from inpatient wards to our Specialist Palliative Care Nurse Consultant Service to Hospital in the Home and Community Palliative Care. Our innovative Palliative Care team looks to the future to offer our patients a wide variety of care options suitable to their needs.

We are looking for a clerical team member who works under the supervision and delegation of the Nurse Manager. Create an excellent first impression of Monash Health by providing a friendly, courteous and professional greeting to all visitors to McCulloch House either by telephone or in person, and to support them in relation to the purpose for their contact and/or visit.

You are a proactive, experienced health care administrator who enjoys a fast paced environment and can work effectively in an autonomous role. Prioritising comes naturally to you and being in a hospital environment you exhibit integrity, compassion, accountability, respect and excellence.

**What you need**:

- Previous experience in a similar role is required
- Certificate in Health Administration preferable but not necessary
- Familiarity with Medical Terminology
- Well-developed interpersonal, written and verbal skills
- Demonstrated ability to complete tasks in timely manner
- Respect for the ability to maintain and safeguard confidentiality.
- Ability to manage self and prioritise tasks
- Able to effectively communicate with staff patients and families
- Knowledge in Medical Record administration
- Knowledge of Patient Flow Manager functions (PFM)
- Australian working rights
