Event Coordinator

The Post Office Hotel in Coburg caters for a wide variety of events across four unique event spaces. From private dinners of 20 guests through to wedding receptions for up to 250 guests, we host 2 - 5 events each week during our peak season.
We are currently on the lookout for someone with strong hospitality experience who is interested in weddings and event management. Working closely with the events manager at all stages of the planning process, you will successfully deliver a variety of events including large private dinners, corporate functions and weddings.
Your day to day will encompass responding to enquiries, managing existing bookings, site tours, upselling, conducting post event evaluations and creating systems to better the offering, working across departments, liaising with suppliers, just to list a few No two days are the same and you’ll be supported by an awesome team.

What do you do?
- Manage the end-to-end sales process
- Implement strategies and campaigns to attract new customers
- Ability to coordinate end to end event booking and management
- Manage your own working schedules and meetings
- Respond to enquiries and bookings efficiently and professionally by preparing quotes and
- Have a keen eye for detail
- Propose strategic ideas and concepts that improve provided services and event quality
- Liaise and manage clients to ensure a full understanding of their requirements and customer satisfaction before, during and at the completion of events
- Have exceptional time and organisational skills
- Ability to work hospitality hours in line with site inspections
What do you need?
- Ability to demonstrate a high level of marketing and event management skills
- Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and organise workload
- Working cooperatively with the management team
- Demonstrated 2 years’ experience or more in event sales
- Outstanding communication skills
- The ability to work autonomously
- Great time management and organisation
- Experience working in Hospitality venues is a must
- The ability to work afternoons and evenings
- A friendly, energetic personality with an ability to build rapport easily
