Application Specialist Lead

**About the role**
As an Application Specialist Lead, you will have the opportunity to mentor your team members to ensure delivery of expert technical knowledge across the team, whilst also maintaining awareness of opportunities provided by new technology to address challenges or to enable new ways of working. You will have a keen interest in software and service management and will assist in the configuration of software products into new or existing environments/platforms including testing of platform-specific versions of one or more software products.
In a technology support capacity, this role will be required, at times, to work outside normal business hours in order to meet agreed service levels for I&T’s clients and may be required to participate in a 24x7 on-call roster.
**About you**
If this is the right role for you, your skills and qualifications may include:
- Experience of building and leading high performing IT teams.
- Ability to coach multiple team members.
- Solid knowledge of one or more Software Development Lifecycles.
- Extensive support experience with front and Backoffice transaction processing (or)
- Extensive experience with Azure policy and security configuration with a data flow focus.
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, IT security principles, load balancing technologies, cloud, databases, and Integration (middleware) technologies.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting complex financial services IT systems.
- Demonstrated experience in communicating effectively with various stakeholders and all levels of management.
- ITIL v3 Foundation Certificate is desirable.
