We are seeking an experienced, proactive, and motivated professional, with excellent and comprehensive administrative and compliance experience to support the VET function at WAAPA.

The Role
The VET Officer will assist the VET Manager in supporting the VET function at WAAPA, providing high level administrative and practical support across a broad range of areas, including arranging and minuting meetings, assisting with budget setting, and tracking, monitoring compliance with funding agreements and VET related reporting, continuous review, and improvement of process as well as liaising with key internal and external stakeholders.

The role utilises high level organisation and communication skills to facilitate and influence outcomes with relevant stakeholders including students, academic and professional staff, the wider ECU community, and external organisations.

Key Criteria
To be successful in this role you will have a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. You will be proactive and resilient and will have experience in a similar or related role. You will be able to demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:
Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of Training Packages, the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTO) and competency based training and assessment.

Demonstrated high level of administrative skills with attention to detail and ability to accurately maintain administrative systems and procedures.

Experience in planning and managing projects with reporting requirements will be an advantage.

Ability to work autonomously, take direction and motivate self and others in a busy environment when managing competing priorities and deadlines.

Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to consult, negotiate and network effectively with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels.

You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University’s values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry Personal Excellence and Courage.

Remuneration
This full-time, ongoing position attracts remuneration of $78,854 to $87,624 p.a (HEW 5) plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
